Students will learn and understand the nature of computation and apply appropriate reasoning about the behaviour of basic programs. They will apply basic computational thinking skills to write and debug computer programs and to problem solve. The three main topics which will be covered in this course are Creating a Computer Program, Designing a Digital Technologies Outcome (Database) and Game Programming.
There is an opportunity to attend the Shadow a Tech Day to visit various companies in Auckland to explore what jobs are available in the tech industry in Information Technology/Digital Technologies/Computer Science Coding and career pathways.
