9 Te Reo Māori or a fluent speaker of Te Reo an advantage  


Year 10 Te Reo Māori is taking a different exciting and traditional ‘tawhito’ route from past years. In 2024 and moving forward; Year 10 will be focusing on Te Ao Haka, Te Hitori o te Reo me te Iwi Māori, the history of the Māori language, ngā purakau (stories, myth and legends of Māori coming to Aotearoa) ngā tikanga Māori and all things that make Te Reo Māori popular in the 21st century.   


These are pillars to feeling immersed in Te Ao Māori and through learning these kaupapa the language will flourish into a fulfilled full year program of 4 periods a cycle.

Wetewete Reo (Grammar) are covered throughout the year.
