  • help foster and develop mathematical talent

Mathematics is a compulsory subject in Year 11, and it is optional for Years 12 and 13. However, many university courses list a year 12 or 13 Mathematics or Statistics course as a pre-requisite, or they list it as a preferred subject.

Please talk with a teacher from the faculty if you are unsure about which course is suitable for your academic journey.

In Year 11, there are two courses, Mathematics (11MAT) and Mathematics with Statistics (11MAS).

In Year 12, there are two courses, Mathematics with Calculus (12MAT) and Mathematics and Statistics (12MAS). Students may choose to take one of these.

In Year 13, there are two courses, Mathematics with Calculus (13CLC) and Mathematics with Statistics (13MAS). Students may choose to take either or both of these.
