Year 12 Fashion and Interior Design

Subject Description

Teacher in Charge: Ms M. Lang.

This course begins with research into materials and existing sustainable outcomes, allowing students to create a targeted brief for a specific product. Students will progress to the development of conceptual designs using drawing and modeling techniques. Through analyzing stakeholder feedback, students refine their designs and acquire professional pattern drafting and garment construction skills to create a prototype. The research and development evidence gathered can also be utilized for an external report, providing students with an opportunity to gain endorsement in this subject. 


This course offers a selection of Achievement Standards, with a maximum of 20 credits available to students. 




Recommended Prior Learning

Year 11 Fashion & Interior Design Technology is recommended.
